CHINOOKBorn in 2009, Chinook ÉTS has seen a lot of students in its eleven years of existence. United by their passion of engineering and clean energy, every year about 20 students of different domains come together to take on the beautiful challenge of the Chinook. Mechanical engineers as well as electrical, software or automated manufacturing all have their place in the team. Some of the last projects objectives included optimizing the drive train, reducing the drag force, making the vehicle lighter, designing new blades or simply making the vehicle lighter.
Our MissionNow more than ever, sustainable development and the environment are major concerns if we wish to preserve our life environments in their current state. We are now at a key moment in the worldwide efforts to have a beneficial impact. This movement has been greatly undertaken by the students of today who will be the workforce of tomorrow. To channel our energies and passions to create new solutions for green energies without slowing the technological progress. That’s exactly our motto: Find innovative solutions for complex problems in the transport and energy domains. Concretely, this means tens of students overworking themself every year to design and manufacture a wind powered car.
